About the Role
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Environmental Health Services, which is central to demonstrating the commitment and positive impact that this service has on our communities in Wales.
This post is a full time, permanent appointment and we are seeking an exceptional candidate who will work with the Environmental Health Wales group (EHW) which is a body that represents the Senior Environmental Health Managers of each constituent local authority in Wales. This group works strategically to influence policy and good practice on public health and wellbeing in local communities. This is achieved via a single voice on Environmental Health and enabling activity, undertaken by Local Authorities, their agents, contractors and partners.
This is a national role and frequent travel across Wales will be required to engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including Directors of Public Protection Wales, Welsh Government, WLGA, CIEH, OPSS, Food Standards Agency, Natural Resources Wales, Health & Safety Executive, Public Health Wales, Trading Standards Wales and consumer groups in order to promote new and emerging public health agendas.
The post holder will be the point of contact to coordinate and assist with relevant consultation responses and requests for information from key stakeholder organisations.
For an initial discussion about the role and the organisation, please contact Simon Wilkinson, Regulatory & Frontline Services Policy Officer on 0779 386 7197.
To apply, please send a covering letter with a completed application form by the closing date of Sunday 21 August 2022 to: email@example.com
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview via Microsoft Teams on Friday 23 September 2022.
Shortlisted applicants may be requested to undertake a task before attending for interview, as well as pre-interview tasks on the day, followed by an interview with a selection panel.
