About the Role

As the Cyber Programme Delivery Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the cyber resilience of local government in Wales. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders to help build and develop the mechanisms that will ensure Welsh councils continue to effectively integrate cyber resilience into digital transformation programmes, safeguard public data, and combat the threat of cyber-attacks.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber programme.
Oversee multiple project streams, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
Conduct research and analysis to understand council needs.
Work with councils on their approach to cyber risk management.
Report on programme progress and represent the WLGA at external meetings and forums.
Support the delivery of the Cyber Action Plan for Wales and help enhance the resilience of Welsh councils.

About You

Experience: Awareness of cyber security principles, strong interpersonal skills, project management experience, and a creative approach to problem-solving.
Skills: Ability to communicate digital concepts to non-digital stakeholders, highly organised, and comfortable working in flexible, fast-moving environments.
Knowledge: Familiarity with regulations affecting digital operations and cyber security, experience working in or with local government, and a commitment to continuous learning.
