About the Role

If Welsh councils are to realise the full benefits of digital innovation, it’s vital that they build cyber resilience into everything they do to minimise the impact of a cyber-attack on their ability to deliver essential services to the public and support their staff.

We are seeking a proactive Cyber Programme Delivery Manager to join the digital team, dedicated to work with wide-ranging stakeholders to drive the adoption of cyber tools, technology, and methodologies, to enhance the cyber resilience of local government in Wales.

The Cyber Programme Delivery Manager will lead initiatives to help:

Integrate cyber resilience into the fabric of digital transformation programmes and projects.
Promote best practices in cyber security and resilience to safeguard public data and systems against emerging threats.

Support data-driven or data-informed decision-making and build stakeholder consensus based on evidence.
Embed the skills and knowledge required to safeguard against cyber-crime.

The purpose of the role is to identify / support / lead initiatives that help integrate cyber resilience into the fabric of digital transformation strategies within local governments in Wales. The manager will help us build a programme of work to support Welsh councils build cyber resilience thinking into its digital service design improvement activities, including implementing solutions to resolve problems, and protect their data and systems effectively

Shortlisted applicants may be requested to undertake a task before attending for interview, as well as pre-interview tasks on the day, followed by an interview with a selection panel.
